Bladon Church
St Martin's Church, in nearby Bladon, is most famously known as the final resting place of Sir Winston Churchill, who was buried there in January1965. The church is a relatively modest parish church, which might seem surprising given Churchill's prominence, but it was chosen because of its close proximity to Blenheim Palace, where Churchill was born and which is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Marlborough. Please note, St Martin's Church is approx. a 6 minute drive away from Blenheim Palace or a 35 minute walk.
